I still think a lot about Jack Layton dying. It still feels very sad. He was such an enthusiastic Canadian, interested in helping people. He could have done so much more, had he lived longer. Even if I didn’t like his mustache. He wasn’t in a high office but it seems sometimes like the world should stop for a while, to pay tribute, but it doesn’t. Life goes on. And the summer days are still here.
I went down to Bayswater Beach for the day to visit the ocean, walk on the beach, in the woods, eat berries from the bushes and talk with friends. It was refreshing. The last time I was there was with Tamar and Damian. They probably won’t be back for another year. It’s good I have some photos to reminisce with.
