Sunday evening, some friends gathered here for a concert with the lovely Jenn Grant singing. She had been a student of mine at NSCAD University, one of those students you never forget. We’ve kept in touch and it was delightful to have her sing here. The evening was perfect: warm, sunny, friendly. We set up chairs and blankets in my field amongst the trees and birds. When the bugs joined us, we moved inside for the last few songs. An altogether memorable evening.
