With heavy rain and winds up to 120 k, my windows were covered with sheets of water for a few hours yesterday morning. Earl was only a category one hurricane. It is frightening to think of Katrina as a category four and all the damage there. I lost only a few branches and the power was out for twenty two hours. Not bad. The advantage of Earl’s visit seems to be a purification of the air. I fell asleep for a couple of hours yesterday after the storm passed and slept better and longer than usual last night. And today my mind feels so much more clear than it did for the previous week. But I would prefer not go through another hurricane this year, no matter how small the category.
