I told myself last week I was going to take a couple of weeks off from painting. I had been going at it with few breaks for several months. I’d find myself starting to go down into my studio and stopping myself. It was tempting, but I knew I needed some time away from my work.
But then, this morning as I was cleaning up, getting ready for a week’s visit from Tamar and Damian starting Tuesday, I decided to put a few little touches, some needed changes, to a five foot square painting I have now over my piano. I put on my painting gloves, brought the yellow paint upstairs and went to it. It felt so good, I decided to continue in my studio on some nearly finished paintings for the rest of the morning. So much for my resolve not to paint for a couple of weeks!
