Yes, it’s a rock covered with snow in the middle of the lake. Lila and I went out there a little after noon today, just as the storm that is now full was beginning. There had already been about 10 cm. of snow last night and that was on top of previous snow and ice.
After working in my studio all morning, trying to bring some wayward paintings to heel, it was extraordinarily liberating to be out there, but now I can’t even see the lake from my windows. It’s a complete white-out.
