The evening before my kids left, we went to Micou’s Island in St. Margaret’s Bay with my friend Gwen and her dog Kiku, one of Lila’s oldest friends. The island is only accessible at low tide. The light was magical.
Yesterday, when Lila and I went into the lake for a swim, she kept looking around for Damian. The same yesterday evening. Where did her pal go? and why?
